Hi everyone,
I’m looking for some advice and especially some feedback from your own experiences regarding my cat, Ticky.
She currently has an open pyometra and is having surgery tomorrow morning. She’s being seen by her vet, and she’s eating, drinking, and taking her medication properly.
The problem is that she’s spending almost the whole day in her litter tray, even to sleep. Because of the purulent discharge, the litter granules are sticking to her paws, her belly, and around her vulva.
I asked her vet about it and he advised against putting sheets or fabric in her tray.
Have any of you dealt with a similar situation where a cat has heavy discharge or needs to stay in their litter tray? What kind of litter did you use to stop the bits from sticking to the discharge as much as possible, especially after the operation?
I’m really looking for feedback from people who have faced this specific issue.
Thanks in advance for your help ❤ ၁ဴ
