How I finally found the right bed size for my Labrador

Hi everyone,

I’m sharing my experience because I really struggled before I found the right method. My 30kg (around 66lb) Lab was sleeping on the tiles even though I’d bought two beds (an M and then an L, both were too small).

What worked: measuring him lying on his side, from his nose to the base of his tail, and adding 15cm (about 6 inches). The result: 95cm. He needed an XL, not an L.

Since he’s had the right size, he hasn’t slept on the floor once. If you’re struggling with sizing too, measure your dog while they're lying down, not standing up – it makes all the difference.
