X-rays and cancer

Hi everyone

I’d like to get some opinions or advice regarding my cat's X-rays. For several days now, she hasn't been able to jump and sometimes drags her hind legs.

She doesn't seem to be in any pain.

The vet gave me some anti-inflammatories.

He thinks her fracture will heal on its own.

However, he is wondering if she might have cancer.

Please see the attached photos:X-rays and cancer

    Hello,

Looking at the images, there seems to be an abnormality at the lumbosacral junction, but it is difficult to interpret from photos alone. A fracture or bone lesion is not enough, on its own, to confirm a tumour.

A reassessment of her neurological condition and potentially further tests could be considered.

In the meantime, limit her jumping and movement, and pay close attention to her ability to urinate and pass stools. If she can no longer move or urinate normally, see an emergency vet immediately.

    Best of luck to you,

    Maëlla
