Puppy training

Hello,

My partner and I are going to get a puppy soon. I'm getting a lot of advice from friends around me. Many of them have said that the puppy is likely to cry for the first few nights that he's home with us. I was just wondering, is it true that if we let him in the bed once, he'll never forget it and will want to join us in the bed every night after that???

Thanks!

I've always heard that if you give in once, they'll never let you forget it. I personally never let my dog sleep in my room let alone my bed for this exact reason. She was nervous the first night we adopted her, but she's perfectly fine sleeping alone in her dog bed now. I wouldn't worry for your puppy...as long as they have consistency, dogs are happy!
