Has anyone successfully helped their cat lose weight?

My girl has become a bit chunky after being spayed. It’s nothing extreme but I know her quality of life would be better if she were slimmer. pls recommend the best way to help her lose weight, how much to feed her, and the best cat food that is most suitable for weight loss?
