There’s actually a treat I’ve been giving her for the last few days that’s a very similar pinkish colour.
She’s been a bit less active lately, but I suspect the heat might be a possible cause for that too.
She’s still got her appetite and still wants to play.
It might just be a combination of factors (the weather, new treats, cat grass...).
I’m going to take the grass away as soon as possible, then probably stop giving her those treats for a few days and keep an eye on her.
Thanks again.
Hi there,
The colour of your cat’s vomit isn’t normal. It’s worth checking your cat’s environment for anything pink they might have eaten, to see if it’s just a dye or if it’s actually blood. The fact that your cat has vomited several times is a bit concerning. You could try taking away their cat grass for a bit and see if the vomiting stops. It’s important to keep an eye on their general condition: do they seem tired? Do they still have an appetite? Is their behaviour normal for them? Also, what are their toilet habits like – any changes in their poo or wee?
Blood can be caused by several things, including irritation of the stomach or oesophagus, an ulcer, or an infection. If you do find that it is blood, or if your cat keeps vomiting even after you’ve removed the cat grass, I’d recommend taking them to the vet. They can do a full check-up and carry out further tests if necessary to find the cause of the vomiting.
Have a good day,
Margaux
Hi there,
If the colour matches the dry food more or less, then it’s just artificial colouring rather than blood. It might be best to take away the cat grass for a while as it’s irritating her stomach; she’s probably overdoing it.
