Hi everyone, my 17-month-old dog is perfectly well-balanced and in great health. He isn't aggressive at all and is very attached to me.
The thing is, he's a Staffie cross German Shepherd!
So, I have a few questions: Does he fall under any dangerous dog categories? Could I be stopped by the authorities if he isn't wearing a muzzle? Do I need to hold a specific licence? ...
Extra information:
- His mum is a Staffie and his dad is a German Shepherd; they were apparently Kennel Club registered according to the previous owners, but I don't have any ID numbers or paperwork to prove it...
- He weighs 35kg (about 77 lbs, or 5 and a half stone).
- Neck circumference is around 49cm.
- Muzzle circumference is around 32cm.
- Very often, passers-by cross the street or don't dare knock on my door when they see my dog. I get a lot of comments about his size, and the words "beast" or "pitbull" come up quite often. Personally, I don't think my dog is particularly big or intimidating at all.
Thanks for your help! :)
