thanks for the update, and get well soon 🙂
Best of luck with the care and a speedy recovery. They should be on the mend now 😉
Keep a close eye on them and try not to get the area too wet.

Evening everyone,
I’ve been to the vet and it’s apparently a fatty lump. He clipped the fur back and squeezed out quite a bit of sebum (thick and yellow) – it wasn't a pretty sight...
Now I have to clean it every day and apply a healing ointment, so fingers crossed that does the trick.
Here’s a photo of how it looks now.
Yeah, this isn't really the place for a diagnosis... I'd definitely suggest getting a vet's opinion.
"However, nothing is certain without a full clinical exam."
Ah, I missed that line from Mathilde.
We're definitely on the same page then 😉
Hi there
Look, I’m a bit of a worrier... It’s all very well saying everything looks fine, but what on earth is that thing?!
And to be able to say for sure that it’s benign, you’d need at least a biopsy or some analysis...
I’d suggest seeing your vet again or getting a second opinion and running a few health checks... Some conditions take a while before they show any symptoms. It could also be a foreign body that’s got lodged in the area and the body is trying to reject it...
As I said, I’m the paranoid type, but when it comes to health I like to have some certainty, especially if that "thing" has been there for 6 months... just so you know for sure.
Best of luck and I hope you get it sorted.
