Hi everyone,

Our dog has been leaving stains everywhere for a while now!

Here’s the situation... He’s been getting these drops from his penis—sometimes they’re thick and yellow. Other times it’s a thinner yellow or even clear.

It’s getting really frustrating! It’s all over the place and I can’t tell you how hard the stains are to shift... Does anyone know what might be causing this? He’s fine in himself—peeing normally, and eating and drinking well. Some people say it’s normal... but he’s never done this before. We’ll definitely be taking him to the vet, but I’d love to hear about any similar experiences you might have had.

    Thank you for your reply, that's very kind. Well, at times it does seem to look like pus :/ however he doesn't seem to be in any pain or discomfort. Yesterday, for instance, he was dead chappy when we got home. He sat down and I noticed his penis was poking out a little, and as he stood back up, just like that it retracted and three clear drops fell... The consistency never seems to be the same... Odd ^^ he's 3 and a half

    It looks like your dog has a sheath infection. It’s quite common and could be balanoposthitis. You should get him seen by a vet.
