There were five dogs living together out in the woods, the vineyards, and other spots.
They were what you’d call feral—most likely a litter that had been dumped out in the wild.
Thanks for your replies!
Nhawak: I know, but I always panic where my dog is concerned; I don't know why, but the slightest little thing can make me panic.. In my head I’m just thinking, "He’s nearly 10 now, he’s getting fragile," and yet it’s daft to think that because Bichons are such a hardy breed!
Anyway, your messages have really put my mind at ease! Thanks again. :)
Whoa there, no need to panic! Dogs are carnivores and hunters, so they’re built for it ;)
Hunting dogs catch all sorts of creatures and they don't get sick from them ^^ Even with my girl, I've lost count of the number of rabbits, seagulls, field mice and whatever else she brought back at the start – some of which were clearly ill – and she’s never had any issues.
Don't worry, it's in their nature to hunt after all :)
