Just so you know, I’m against them being left outside when we’re not in (meaning staying outdoors all the time with no access to the house).
Once in the morning and once in the evening.
I think she’s pushing her luck a bit now. My partner took her for a walk and they’d just got back, but in the time it took him to have a wash, she did something for the absolute first time—she started chewing holes in the sofa. I’m wondering if she’s actually happy indoors, because when she’s outside she’s so happy, running about and all that... I’m at a total loss now, especially as she’s never done anything like this before.
Two hours a day, but how many walks is that split into?! The garden doesn't count as a proper outing for her; it’s just part of the house. It’s just like it is for us – we might go out into the garden often, but after a while, we know it inside out and it’s much more exciting to go for a walk somewhere else. It lets the dog explore and helps with their socialisation :)
She gets walked for at least two hours a day and has the run of the whole garden (nearly an acre) all day long. She can go in and out of the house as she pleases, so I reckon we’ve got plenty of space...
In my case, she’s pulling the plug sockets right out of the wall, and obviously, it's always when we’re out.
Hi, is this little one getting enough exercise?! Does she have any enrichment toys to keep her occupied while you're out?!
