I let the older one off the lead because her recall is spot on, so no issues there.
I was busy for a few seconds with the puppy (nearly 3 months old) who had got her lead tangled round her paws.
I turned around and saw Capi eating some tomato sauce (probably Bolognese) and there was glass in it. I reckon someone dropped a jar and didn't bother to pick it up! --'
Anyway, I checked her mouth, no blood!
When I got home I had a look online, and it's happened to other people too.
One person posted on a forum about using the white part of leeks, which their vet recommended they give.
In your opinion, what does the leek actually do? Because the dog was apparently 'cured'.

Yes, the fibre surrounds the debris. My mum’s dog once broke a salad bowl containing some minced beef and wolfed down the lot, mince and glass shards included. She pulled through just fine.
Yeah, that’s definitely a bit strange, the way it happened. She might be absolutely fine, but just to be on the safe side—it’s your call obviously—I’d take her to see the vet if you’re worried she might’ve swallowed some glass.
As I explained earlier, I was busy looking after the little one who’d got her paws tangled in the lead. Capi smelt some tomato sauce (probably from a jar that fell out of someone’s shopping bags—people just leave everything on the ground! --') and she ate some, but there were shards of glass in it. Her mouth seems fine, though; there are no signs of any cuts there.
We’ve checked his mouth in really close detail with a torch (tongue, palate, etc.) and there’s no trace of blood, which is a relief, but we’ve still got a bit of a nagging doubt. ;)
So @*****, do you reckon leeks have a laxative effect? I’m not sure if they’re toxic...
Would it work with some Laughing Cow? Do you just give it to them on its own?
