My dog has had a fainting spell

As the title says, overnight between Wednesday and Thursday my dog literally collapsed.

He got up from his armchair, went over to the door and then he just crumbled. He stayed lying there for a bit looking quite out of sorts, and then he was back to normal again.

This is the second time he’s had this kind of episode.

The first time (two months ago) I didn’t panic because five minutes later he was fine. Fainting can happen, just like it does with people. But now that it's happened twice...

Does anyone have any idea what this could be?

Just to be clear, I’m obviously not looking for a diagnosis, just some 'leads', and of course I’ve already contacted my vet—we have an appointment tomorrow at 4.30pm.

I've watched this film with my daughter at least 8 or 10 times now ^^ It’s a fun, lovely Disney flick. I love the cupcake scene, that dog is absolutely stunning... even better in the original version!!!! Give your handsome Odin some big cuddles from me. Nighty night

Yeah, sometimes copying works and other times I miss the mark completely.

    It’s a bit of a pain.

Personally, none of the links are working properly for me, I have to keep fiddling with them. I've been away for two months and loads of features have either disappeared or are just glitching!

That was the French clip from AlloCiné for the film Turner & Hooch (Disney) with Tom Hanks and the French Mastiffs... 🙂 Oh yeah, a mate of mine mentioned that film, I really should give it a watch. @Misanthrope, even when I copy and paste it, I still can't find the right video.

Get some rest! You gave your mum quite a scare!

    He certainly did!

But it’s been a blessing in disguise really, as it’s helped him get back on good terms with the vet.

He was starting to get a bit anxious after the last few visits for his paw. Because the vet didn’t have to handle him too much this time, he relaxed and they’re best mates again.

    That's brilliant! :)

The links aren't working directly anymore. You have to copy and paste them. Does anyone know if this is normal or if the site is down for maintenance? There seem to be more and more bugs on here lately, and so many features just don't work anymore...

That was the French clip from a movie site for the Disney film Turner & Hooch, starring Tom Hanks.

    Featuring Dogue de Bordeaux...

I’m clearly having a nightmare with links today; @Doudou, I can’t see what you were trying to show me. It’s just taking me to a dead end.

We’re relieved too, you did the right thing getting him to the vet so quickly. Dogues de Bordeaux are so lovely, I've never seen one before...

He’s my big baby :) I’m not usually the type to rush to the vet for every little thing, but you’ve got to do what you’ve got to do.

It’s true, you don’t see many DDBs around, just like most large breeds.
