Meet Brodie, “Brodie was rescued in Romania in November 2024, she spent 1 Month in shelter before moving to her current foster home. Unfortunately after 2 Months Brodie's family have made the decision to surrender her due to her not getting along with one of the dogs in her home and the owner not being able to keep them safely separate.
Brodie is very friendly with new people who visit the home and welcomes them in for cuddles and affection. She has never shown any aggression and loves being around humans. She is a very affectionate girl and loves cuddles and loving.
Brodie can be very food motivated and this can sometimes cause her to be cheeky and steal the other dogs food, this can also cause her to display some guarding behaviours around human food and high value treats with the other dogs. Brodie will need to be fed separately at all times to prevent this” 💞
Brodie has not been around children in the home but is not phased by them on walks. She could live with children 10+ however they would need to be aware of her jumpy manner as she can be a little overexcited 👶
Brodie currently shares her home with other dogs however she can be very guarding of her space within the home which can cause her to growl at them on occasions. She has been good with the older dog in the home however she has also growled at her on occasions. Brodie can be very annoying and persistent with dogs causing her to nibble and chew their ears and legs when she wants to play, this has unfortunately caused fights within the home which has left Brodie with injuries. Brodie would be better suited to live with no dogs however would love meeting doggie friends on walks and outside the home 🐾
Brodie does have a very high prey drive and can therefore not live with cats or small furries 🐈
Brodie accepts a collar, harness lead and slip lead for her walks. She likes to be very close to her owners on a walk including when on the long-line and doesn't pull. She can however be distracted by dogs, interesting smells or small furries. She loves to say hello to every dog she meets and enjoys their company and running around playing with them. She likes to say hello to people too however she can jump up so she will need continued work on this in her new home 🐕🦺
Brodie is a high energy girl who would suit can active home who can take her on lots of walks and keep her mentally stimulated. She loves running around the garden and playing tug. Her family feel she would be perfect for agility and flyball and would thrive in a home who can keep her brain and body busy 🐕🦺
Brodie is toilet trained and crate trained. She has previously ben destructive when left alone in the home however is now crated for these periods and she copes well with this. She can be hesitant to get in however, after a treat she settles down for the duration. She has been left alone for up to 4 hours with no issues. She also sleeps well overnight and travels well in the car 💞
