Lump after spaying

Hi everyone, I had my little girl spayed 10 days ago. We went to the vet today to have her stitches out. Everything went well, but the vet told me the lump on her tummy was nothing to worry about. It’s completely normal. I'm not worried because I've seen on some forums that it's normal, but is there anything I can do to help the swelling go down? Has this ever happened to you? Well, not to you, lol, but to your little princess?

Hi, I’m in the same boat and I’m worried that Yuna (my little cat) is going to burst this lump because she won't stop biting at it... Does anyone have any advice on how to stop her from scratching her tummy so badly?

Hi there, my Nova also had a lump after she was spayed; it eventually cleared up on its own.

    Hi Fanfan

Yes, these lumps (which look like a large blister, don’t they?) do happen sometimes.

Don't do anything for now. It will either shrink and disappear naturally.

Or, if it stays for too long, you’ll need to head back to the vet who, as part of their follow-up care, will help it go down and disappear.

Keep a close eye on it, though. Try to avoid any knocks, scraps, or going outdoors where it might get burst.

    Have a good day.

Please keep us posted. It would be great to hear how things go.
