My cat is always wagging its tail

Hiya,
My cat also wags her tail when she’s happy, purring away while being stroked, which is the complete opposite of what you usually read.
Hi there,
I've got the exact same issue with a young Siamese, she's not even 3 yet...
She flicks her tail when you tell her no, when you stroke her, when you talk to her... Even when she comes to fall asleep next to me, usually up against my legs...
Honestly, she stresses me out...
She has a tendency to bite — not aggressively, and it doesn't hurt, but it's just a reflex for her...
I think she's a stressed-out cat, she's always been like this...
When I took her to the vet to be spayed... she bit one of the vet nurses, and caused an absolute scene... they had to physically restrain her, and in the meantime she'd sent every other animal in the waiting room into a frenzy — they all started meowing, barking, the lot...
An absolute terror...
Before she was spayed, she couldn't care less about me — she'd leg it to the kitchen the moment she spotted me, and would only come for cuddles when she was in heat (that's when she'd be glued to me)...
Since the operation, she's been all over me — I've become her dad, her favourite person... She's constantly stuck to me on the sofa the second I sit down, and I can't nip to the loo for five minutes at the other end of the hallway without her scratching and meowing like mad... I never expected such a dramatic change (honestly, it's like she's permanently in heat now)...
But the thing is, whether she's happy, purring, whatever — she's constantly flicking her tail nervously... it's really quite irritating...
When she does sleep though, she's out cold... tail completely still...
I've had at least a dozen cats over the years, and none of them have ever behaved like this (giving a little nip when you stroke them — maybe we're tickling her? — or constantly lashing their tail). Or scratching at a window or door for five solid minutes to get in...
And if I put her out on the balcony and close the French doors, when she wants back in she'll scratch at the glass like a maniac — it can go on for a good while, until either I lose my patience or she gets bored (usually I'm the one who caves and lets her back in)...
Any ideas? Does yours do this sort of thing, Cateline?
Thanks in advance
Cédric
Hi everyone, here’s an article about cat tail movements, thought I’d share it in case anyone finds it useful: http://wamiz.com/chats/guide/mouvements-de-la-queue-du-chat-0546.html
