Yes, she’s walking perfectly normally

Actually, I’ve noticed that her leg shakes when she wakes up

I’m not sure if it’s just down to the position she’s sleeping in

I have to take my other cat to the vet for her vaccinations soon, so I’ll ask them about it then

The description of a tremor in a front leg could potentially point towards a neurological issue.

It would likely be a pinched nerve in that particular leg, rather than a spinal cord problem, as otherwise both legs would be shaking.

This kind of damage can occur following some kind of impact, whether mild or severe, located where a nerve passes through.

For the time being, I’d suggest keeping an eye on a few things:

- Is your cat walking completely normally, or has their gait changed slightly since the shaking started? If it has changed, you should see your vet.

- Are the tremors getting worse or do they seem constant from one day to the next? If they are becoming more frequent or intense, consult your vet.

- Have you noticed anything unusual with any of the other legs? If so, again, you should see your vet.

If the tremors aren't spreading, the gait remains normal, and no other limbs are affected, it is likely a temporary neurological occurrence that should clear up within a few days at most.

There's no need to worry for now.
