My cat's paw is swollen

Hi everyone,

I’m posting this because I’ve just noticed that my cat's paw is swollen! I only just spotted it while we were playing; I hadn’t noticed anything unusual before that...

I've had a feel and he doesn't really react, he isn't limping, and he’s eating, drinking and playing as usual. I’m not sure if I should go to the emergency vet or if it can wait until tomorrow... I don’t want to bother an out-of-hours vet for nothing, although I don't suppose it would be swollen for no reason.

I’ve included a photo:

I’m not really sure what to do right now :(

    Hi there,

My advice: give your vet a call so they can give you some advice :)

Hi, my cat’s got the same thing but he’s been sick three times. I’m not sure what to do — he’s drinking, but he’s lying down a lot and won’t really let me touch his paw.

Hi everyone, one of my cat's paws has swollen up after I tied him up (I know it was a bad idea and I really regret it) and it’s now twice the size of the other one. He’s spent the night indoors; he’s eating normally and is still asking for just as many cuddles, but I don’t know what to do to help him. Can anyone help me find a solution?

Hi everyone, I’m having the same problem as you. I’ve had the same thing since Saturday, but between me leaving this morning and getting back this evening, she’s tripled in size—she looks like the Hulk now.

Do you think I should go to the vet tomorrow?

Hi, my cat’s paw is swollen and there’s blood and pus coming out. I’m not really sure what it is.

Hi, I’m having the same issue with my cat. How did things turn out for you?

Even after two vet visits, it’s still the same.

Hi everyone, I'm writing because my cat's paw has tripled in size and he's limping. He's in pain, but he's still just as cuddly as ever and is still eating. What can I do to get the swelling down?
