Pepe the Sphynx joined Ronaldo’s home two years ago. Thought to have been named after Ronaldo’s bald ex-Real Madrid teammate, the affectionate cat became an integral part of the family.
Pepe was often featured in the Ronaldo and his wife’s Instagram posts, as he virtually followed them everywhere around the world.

Sadly, Pepe recently ran away from home and was hit by a car in Turin, just outside Cristiano Ronaldo’s home.
Ronaldo and his wife did everything they could to save their beloved companion’s life, keeping him in intensive care at the vets for over a month. A difficult and stressful time for the whole family.
Pepe the Sphynx cat on the road to recovery
Once Pepe was strong enough to return home, Ronaldo’s girlfriend Georgina Rodriguez decided to fly with him to Spain.
Ronaldo’s children being so young, they didn’t understand that the cat was poorly and needed rest. The couple felt it was best that Pepe stay with Rodriguez’s family, where he would be able to take the time to fully recover, properly.
We wish the little kitty the quickest of recoveries, and hope he will soon be reunited with his family!
