The production company is looking for a male or female Beagle from York, to star in a new Christmas movie called the Santa Express.
The feature film is due to star former Doctor Who actor Peter Purves, for release in December 2026.
Finding a star
Director Daniel Coll has asked anyone interested in applying to reach out to the production team for further information.
"Simple commands – come, sit, stay – are all that's required, along with a calm disposition," he explained.
The dog's owner will be present at all times, but they will not appear on camera at any point in the film.
No lines to learn
"The owner will not be seen, and the successful dog will not be required to learn any lines," joked Daniel, when asked what the role involved.
"It's a paid role with a small fee, but it's up to the owner and the Beagle to decide how they split that between themselves!" added screenwriter Dave Thorp.
