Although he is used to difficult situations, Zadrigman was deeply shocked when he heard about a strange animal. Locals in a neighbouring town had dubbed the creature a "werewolf". When he arrived on the scene, he discovered a poor dog in a truly terrible state.
Her back was covered in patches of matted hair, whilst the rest of her body was almost completely bald. Her skin was incredibly dry and scaly, and her pale blue eyes seemed to plead for help, filled with fear and distress.
A patient approach
Our hero named the sweet dog Bombón. The poor thing was suffering from severe mange, which was causing her a great deal of pain. Wary and deeply frightened, she backed away whenever her rescuer tried to get close. Zadrigman knew he had to act with infinite gentleness and patience.
Armed with a few treats and a lot of love, he managed to get close enough to gently stroke her. Bombón finally agreed to eat from the bowl he had lovingly prepared for her. Once she trusted him, she willingly climbed into his car, and Zadrigman was able to whisk her away to the vet clinic.
A spectacular transformation
The sweet dog received intensive treatment to soothe her skin, alongside a massive dose of love. Gradually, her skin healed and her fur began to grow back. Within just a few weeks, the "werewolf" had vanished, replaced by a beautiful, soft-coated little dog.
Four months after her rescue, Bombón is completely unrecognizable. Happy, playful, and full of life, she has now been adopted and is enjoying her new loving home. We couldn't be happier for her, and we take our hats off to the bravery of her caped crusader!
