On 24 August, the charity's rescuers shared a post on Facebook following a truly shocking discovery.
Two tiny kittens had been abandoned near some rubbish bins in Mouscron, dumped right next to the waste.
Rescued just in time
The exact circumstances of their abandonment remain unknown. However, one thing is certain: the little ones were left with absolutely no chance of survival. They were completely on their own, even though they still needed their mother.
Fortunately, their cries for help were heard. Local residents reported seeing them, and the kittens were soon rescued and brought to the charity. In their post, the rescuers extended a heartfelt thank you to everyone who helped save these two poor kittens.
A brighter future ahead
For now, the kittens need Royal Canin kitten milk formula, water, saline solution, dewormer, and flea treatment. As they grow older, they will need wet and dry food specially formulated for kittens.
To fund the care and feeding of abandoned or stray cats, Atout Chat Mouscron relies on donations, pet food, and volunteers. The charity also runs a scheme where supporters can donate just one euro a month.
The rescuers shared that the little ones will soon move into a foster home where they will be lovingly cared for. There, they can grow up in a safe environment. We wish them nothing but the best for the future.
