As they passed a bush on the side of the road, something caught Lexy's attention.
A wonderful gift
It turned out that at the foot of the bush, Lexy had found... a pork chop!
From that moment on, whenever Lexy and her owner passed the bush, she would always search for more pork chops.
She did this for years, on every single walk.
Sadly, despite Lexy's best efforts, there were never any more pork chops by the bush.
One last walk
The years went by. Sadly, Lexy received a terrible diagnosis. The poor dog had cancer, and her body was growing frail and tired.
Despite her pain, she still checked the same bush every time.
Her owner had an idea to give her a very special gift for her final walk.
He called a friend and asked her to hide some pork chops under the famous bush.
Once the plan was in place, Lexy and her dad went for a walk, 'coincidentally' passing by the bush.
What a joy it was for the dog to enjoy her feast!
Lexy passed away 10 years ago now. Her owner is so happy to have shared those wonderful years with his dog, who was his best friend.
