Passers-by find a plastic backpack in the sun, and it's not empty

By Ludivine Mazzotti

On the 26th of May, during a sweltering heatwave in London, the team at the Celia Hammond Animal Trust received numerous calls from concerned residents in an East London neighbourhood.

Residents were calling to report a strange plastic backpack carrier that had been abandoned on the side of a road.

It was a backpack with a transparent shell.

A chilling discovery

Inside, three kittens could be seen huddled together. The bag had been left in the scorching sun... No one knew how long it had been there, but one thing was certain: they were running out of time. Rescuer Amanda Stevens didn't waste a second and rushed to the scene immediately.

When she arrived, she found the three little cats crammed together, clearly in great distress. The heat building up under the plastic shell was unbearable. Amanda quickly moved them into her air-conditioned car and sped towards the charity's veterinary clinic.

Three inseparable brothers

The three kittens were given emergency care and examined. The poor things were suffering from severe heatstroke. Thanks to the quick action of the vets, they were swiftly cooled down and received all the necessary treatment. Fortunately, they made a quick recovery.

The three brothers were named Napoleon, Prince, and Tom. They are completely inseparable: they eat, sleep, play, and constantly comfort each other. The rescuers refused to separate them and looked for a family willing to adopt all three together.

To everyone's delight, a home was finally found for the trio! Thanks to the vigilance of the passers-by, these three little lives were saved from the worst and can now enjoy their new life, together.
