This five-year-old Malinois has already lived through the worst experiences of her life.
She had never seen the sun
Before arriving at the shelter, Haru was neglected by her former ”owner”. The poor dog was kept in a restaurant basement, tied to an extremely short chain. She knew almost nothing of the outside world. When rescuers stepped in to save her, she was even terrified of the sunlight...
Haru was taken to the shelter, where she spent 940 days in her kennel – nearly three years. During this time, she experienced several false hopes. She thought she had found her forever home, only to be returned to the shelter every single time.
A very affectionate dog
Finally, in May, rescuers thought she had finally found her family. But once again, Haru was returned to the shelter, just three years after her adoption.
Despite everything Haru has been through, she remains deeply devoted to humans. She loves cuddles, bonding moments, and being close to the people she loves.
Haru is now looking for a peaceful forever home. Rescuers have specified that she must be the only pet in the household. She would be best suited to a family with older teenagers or adults only. We hope Haru finds her family as quickly as possible!
