In the early hours of 5th June, at around 4 am, a man rushed his puppy to the veterinary clinic.
At that time of night, the clinic was closed.
A dedicated owner
The man placed the puppy by the door and settled down beside her to wait for the staff to arrive when the clinic opened. The puppy is an 8-month-old female named Princess. When the clinic staff took her in that morning, they learned her story: the poor little thing had been hit by a car.
A police officer who had attended the scene took the dog to an emergency clinic, but sadly, her owner couldn't afford the fees. So, he brought Princess to the Angels of Assisi clinic and waited for it to open so his dog could get the care she needed.
A long road to recovery
Poor Princess had a dislocated hind leg, several broken teeth, tar in her mouth, and severe scrapes across her body. Despite her terrible injuries, Princess quickly started to bounce back, thanks to the team's care. In fact, the veterinary team reported on 5th June that she was already beginning to get back on her feet and take her first steps on her own.
The brave little dog has become a very important presence for the veterinary team, who have pledged to cover all her veterinary needs. Her human visits her at the clinic every day, bringing treats and toys each time. The love between Princess and her owner is very moving for the staff to see. We wish Princess a speedy recovery.
