Poppy is a Boxer who is treated like a princess by her family.
In a video posted on TikTok on 19th May, we see Poppy's grandmother's 'outrage' following a visit to the vet.
Setting the record straight
During a routine check-up for the 7-year-old dog, the vet used the words 'senior' and 'overweight' to describe Poppy. These terms did not go down well with Poppy's grandmother at all.
So, in a humorous video, she staged a phone call to the vet, telling him she thought he was completely mistaken. She wanted to make the following corrections: Poppy is not a senior dog, and she will live much longer than 14 years. What's more, she is absolutely not overweight, and on that subject, she demanded the vet send her his own weight by return email.
Support on social media
Finally, Poppy's grandmother pointed out that the dog had a large online community on social media who supported her and were ready to back up every point her grandmother made.
In fact, Poppy's followers commented that they "love following this conversation between the grandmother and the vet, and that it's like watching a series with several episodes" for them. Another wrote: "Grandma knows best".
We are delighted that Poppy is so well looked after, with a family that keeps a close watch on her and followers who are fans of her adventures!
