In Turkey, Ferhat Hayat and his father found a ginger cat wandering outside their shop.
The father and son decided to open their door to him, offering him food and shelter.
As reported by The Dodo, the cat returned the next day and didn't hesitate to make himself comfortable in an armchair reserved for employees.
A new shop assistant
Charmed by the animal, Ferhat even gave him a name: Şakir. From that day on, the cat decided he wasn't going to leave his rescuers.
After a trip to the vet to get his vaccinations up to date, Şakir now spends his days exploring the neighbourhood or basking in the sun in front of the shop.
”I open my arms and he comes to hug my neck”
Every day, he comes to see Ferhat for a cuddle. ”Every time he looks at me, I open my arms and he comes to hug my neck,” said Ferhat.
