Linda, who lives in Montreal, Canada, came face to face with two stray kittens who were clearly looking for food. The two little animals were exploring a patio.
A helping hand for a stray kitten
While one of them scampered off, the second returned to the patio. Linda knew she couldn't leave it in that state. Although the kitten seemed fine at first glance, she was very thin.
Linda managed to "capture" the kitten to get her to safety and help her get back on her feet. The rescue organisation, Chatons Orphelins Montréal, took the little female in and named her Bouskie.
"She was very scared, but she let us handle her. As soon as we petted her, she started to purr," explained Céline from Chatons Orphelins Montréal to the website LoveMeow.
From timid to treasured
It took several days for the little animal to start trusting her foster family. They had prepared a cosy little space for her, but "she would only come out of her carrier to eat and use the litter tray when no one was around."
The once-timid kitten blossomed into a happy cat who loved to explore her surroundings.
"She loves her new life and just wants to be adored. Bouskie didn't know anyone before she came to us, and now she purrs as soon as she's in your arms."
