When staff arrived at the shelter on the morning of Sunday, 3rd May, they discovered an abandoned crate by the front door. Inside were four puppies.
A stormy night
The poor puppies had been left all alone in the crate overnight, while a thunderstorm and lashing rain raged outside.
The rescue team reviewed the CCTV footage. They saw a car pull into the shelter's car park at two o'clock in the morning. A person got out, removed the crate full of puppies, and simply left it in front of the shelter.
A worrying situation
In a Facebook post, the shelter staff explained that while they were grateful the puppies were brought to them, the circumstances of their abandonment were deeply concerning. They have no information about the dogs, their background, or their mother.
The team shared a still from the CCTV footage with their post. They have urged anyone with information about the puppies or the person who abandoned them to get in touch.
