On 30th August 2020, Natalie discovered Mostaccioli and his three brothers when the kittens were just a day old. They had been abandoned in her mother's garden in California.
A lucky rescue
Natalie works at an animal shelter, so she took all four kittens there. However, she found she couldn't bear to be parted from Mostaccioli.
Two of Mostaccioli's brothers were adopted together into a new home, while the third was taken in by a man who already owned a Poodle.
So, Natalie brought little Mostaccioli home to care for him and introduce him to his new sister, Izanami.
A distinctive feature
Although the kittens had a difficult start in life, Mostaccioli has grown up strong and healthy and has become a social media star. His fame is partly thanks to his moustache, which bears a striking resemblance to the one sported by Freddie Mercury, the legendary singer of Queen.
As he grew, Mostaccioli's moustache became more and more prominent. And people online absolutely love it:
”*I love the moustache*,” one user commented.
”*If Freddie Mercury were a cat…*” wrote another person.
”*Freddie Mercury?? I thought he was dead?*” joked another user.
And what do you think?
