Hi everyone
I've just lost my two little Cavalier King Charles Spaniels in only 5 days. Roxy died from a heart attack (according to the vet; we found him lifeless next to his water bowl, and we'd seen him only 10 minutes before). He also had a heart condition—a ruptured heart valve chord.
As for Oscar, who was already very poorly with heart failure, Roxy's death made things worse. He stopped moving, stayed lying down all the time, wouldn't eat, panted constantly, and the slightest movement made him cough and breathe very quickly.... So we made the decision to put him to sleep and stayed with him until the very end....
Naturally, our grief is immense, but I'm reaching out to you to ask what I should do with my boys' food. I have about 13 to 15 lbs (around 6 or 7 kg) of Metabolic Mini dry food that I'd like to give away.....
The local RSPCA branches and rescues I've contacted aren't interested..... Do you have any ideas?
Thanks for your replies
