Dachshund ear protection – thoughts on snoods?

Hi everyone! I have a Dachshund with unusually long ears. We often have a problem with grass seeds getting stuck and, in general, his ears pick up everything in his path.
I'm looking into getting an ear protector; I've seen them called snoods?

Has anyone used this solution before? Is it comfortable for the dog? Does it stay on? I'm wondering if it's a good option for a Dachshund or if it will just keep sliding down.
