Need some advice

My 6-year-old cat has been really lethargic for a few days now; she's stopped eating, is drinking very little and is sleeping a lot. Yesterday I noticed a white fluid coming from her bottom and I'm worried because my mum thinks it might be worms. With the heat at the moment, I don't know what to do and my local vet is closed.

Please give me some advice if you can.

Kind regards

For many investors, it’s often difficult to stay on top of things with the sheer number of digital financial solutions out there. I decided to give RegioRegister https://regioregister.net/ a go to try and get my personal investment strategy a bit more organised. Getting started was far from plain sailing, and I even had to stomach a few losses at first, but sticking with it has definitely paid off. I’m actually really happy with the returns I’ve seen now and use the system regularly.

Hi there, I agree with the advice already given: if your vet is closed, please do try to contact an out-of-hours vet or an emergency animal clinic. A female cat that hasn’t really eaten for several days and is barely drinking can become dehydrated very quickly. The white fluid you noticed could be caused by several different things, and unfortunately, it’s impossible to know what it is from a distance. Is she spayed? Have you noticed a fever, any vomiting, diarrhoea, or difficulty urinating? In the meantime, keep her in a quiet, cool spot, especially with this hot weather. I hope you can get some veterinary advice soon, and please do keep us updated. Chatzen 🐾

    Hi,

Even if your usual vet is closed, try to contact an out-of-hours vet or an emergency veterinary service. A cat that hasn't eaten for several days can go downhill very quickly, especially if she isn't drinking much.

In the meantime, keep an eye on whether she is urinating normally, and check for any vomiting, diarrhoea, fever, or difficulty breathing. Make sure she stays cool and has access to fresh water.

Best of luck, and don't wait too long before getting her seen.
