Hi, I was giving her wet food for neutered cats but she won't eat it anymore, so I've been giving her standard wet food because she really likes it!

Will this be a problem for her weight?

Kind regards

Hello, It will likely depend on the brand of wet food you are giving your cat. In theory, to limit weight gain while still providing enough energy, food for sterilised cats contains less fat and more protein. With wet food, the main ingredient is still water, so the differences in percentages aren't usually that drastic. However, for dry food, I would recommend comparing the labels between the "sterilised" and "standard" versions. If your cat is maintaining a stable weight, you can stick with this wet food.
