Hi everyone
For over a year now, I've been trying to find the cause of the acid reflux my 10-year-old Golden Retriever is suffering from... No vet can find the answer! I’ve tried four different ones. The condition is getting worse and worse... ultrasounds, injections, blood tests. Antibiotics aren't doing anything... I'm at my wits' end. He's 10, and I had to have my Berner put down six months ago, but I can't lose my Golden too! Does anyone have any ideas?
He eats or drinks and then he starts regurgitating as if his throat is irritated. He lies down, goes to sleep, and then wakes up gagging—sometimes he vomits bile or even his dry food 10 hours later. He gets up, moves around, and then starts a whole fit of coughing again.
The vets are fixated on his dry food, but the antibiotics are wrecking his stomach... does anyone have any suggestions?
