My vet mentioned my cat needs more moisture in her diet because she barely drinks water. I’m now looking for the best wet cat food that helps with hydration for daily feeding.

Recently, I’ve been paying more and more attention to the ingredients in pet food, and I was honestly a bit horrified by what’s in the budget brands 😅 I started looking for something better and came across a premium natural food brand. So far, the cat is happy, his tummy troubles have settled down, and even the vet said he looks better. I’ll leave the link here in case anyone else is looking for something similar at the moment: https://pakazwierzaka.pl

Hi, For hydration, the most effective method is a good quality complete wet food with a high moisture content, fed daily. The most important thing is consistency and whether your cat actually likes it, rather than the specific brand. You can also add a splash of warm water to their food and try a water fountain; these often really help cats that aren't big drinkers. If your vet has a medical reason for it (especially urinary issues), it might be worth choosing a suitable "urinary" range. Kind regards, Romane

Hi there, I was in the same boat a few months ago. For the top-rated wet foods for hydration: Royal Canin in gravy (not in jelly, as the gravy provides more water), Sheba in gravy as well, and Animonda Carny for a more natural, moisture-rich option.

Something else my vet also suggested as a supplement is a water fountain. Cats are instinctively attracted to moving water and often turn their noses up at stagnant water in a bowl. Since I set one up at home, my cat drinks two or three times as much as before, even when eating dry food. Combining the two—wet food and a fountain—really is the ideal way to manage daily hydration.

    Best of luck!
