That’s definitely a tick. You can pick up a tick remover tool at the chemist and get it off before it gorges itself on blood. It’s better for your kitten that way. The pharmacist will be able to show you how to use it. Kind regards.
Hi
It really sounds like a tick. If you could manage to take a photo of the thing by parting the fur so we can see the skin too... I know, with a kitten, it's easier said than done 😸
Take a look at the lump right against the skin; if you see tiny legs and you can easily wiggle the "lump" from side to side, it’s most likely that. At this stage, it will be firmly attached. If you try to remove it yourself and you've never done it before, there's a high risk the head will stay in the skin and cause an infection later on.
Either find someone you know who is used to them, or see a vet (it'll be a chance to learn the method so you can avoid the vet if it happens again)... or it will soon drop off on its own 😉
Keep a close eye on the lump and the kitten's general condition (fever, appetite, energy levels...), and see a vet if you're in any doubt. It looks like one, but it might not be a tick 😕
Hi,
It’s hard to say exactly what it is just from a photo. It could be something benign (a small cyst, a swollen gland, a reaction to a sting, etc.), but it’s also possible that it’s a parasite like a tick if the lump is attached to the skin.
If the lump appeared recently, is getting bigger, is red or painful, or if your kitten is showing any other symptoms, it would be best to book an appointment with your vet.
Have a nice day,
Maëlla

Hi everyone, I've noticed a white lump on my kitten's neck. I can't tell what it is as I really don't have a clue about these things, could I get some advice please?
