Experience with Karsivan for an elderly dog

Our Field Spaniel is 13 years and 11 months old now. For the past year, she’s been whining—some days it's just for a few moments, other days it's on and off all day long. I don’t think she’s in pain, as she gets a monthly injection for pain (Librela) and a daily tablet (Synoquin). We always used to take her for walks morning and evening, played with her a lot, etc... but for over a year now we only go out in the morning, if she’s up to it and feels like it, as she doesn’t always want to anymore. At first, I thought she wanted to start going for evening walks again when the whining started, but it soon became clear that wasn't the case. She just comes and stands in front of us when we're on the sofa and starts whining. If she gets a treat, she’s okay for a bit, but once the treat is finished, she just starts whining again. Has anyone else had a dog that whined like this, and could perhaps tell me why? I thought it might be something to do with her mental state. I’d also love to know if anyone has experience with the medication Karsivan, and what changes you noticed in your dog after starting it? Best wishes,
