Hind leg paralysis

Hi everyone, my 8-year-old dog's back legs have been paralysed for 7 days now. It happened suddenly after he jumped off the bed. The CT scan suggests a slipped disc that doesn't require surgery, so he's on anti-inflammatories for now. The vet told me he might recover, but it's a very slow process. He still has feeling in them, which is encouraging. Has anyone else dealt with or heard of similar cases? 🙏🏻
