Our cats are 5 months old and we're due to have them neutered and spayed this month, but when we got up this morning we noticed some stains on the sofa. They look a bit suspicious and I'm not sure what to make of them... what do you think?

    Hi, At 5 months old, it could be her first time in heat, but spots on the sofa aren't enough to say for certain. Female cats don't usually bleed when they're in heat like dogs do. If the spots look like blood or if there’s any unusual discharge, it's best to contact the vet to rule out any urinary or gynaecological issues.
