Adoption and holidays

Hi everyone,

I'm adopting a puppy in a week's time and, originally, I was supposed to be going to Paris for the weekend the following week. My partner will be staying at home, but he's told me he doesn't think it's a good idea for me to go away for a weekend when the puppy will have only been with us for a week, even though he'll be there. This is the first time I've adopted a puppy, so he might be right — what do you all think?

I should mention that I haven't paid for the weekend yet. I wouldn't be able to take the puppy with me to this trip, as it's for a rare event.

Thanks in advance for your replies.

Kind regards.

Hi, It’s perfectly possible for you to go away for the weekend and leave the puppy with your partner, unless he isn’t able to look after it and meet its needs. Best wishes and have a lovely weekend in Paris, MICHEL laura

Unless your partner doesn’t feel up to managing the puppy on their own for a weekend, there’s no real issue with you heading off then.
