Hello, I'm looking for some advice regarding my cat's behaviour; she's two years old. Since she was a kitten, she's always had a bit of a temperament, meaning everything has to be on her own terms. She went missing in January, and despite all our searching, we couldn't find her. Three weeks ago, we adopted a kitten. Then, last week, a vet in a neighbouring town called us to say they'd found our cat! Since she's been back home, living with the new kitten has been a bit difficult, but I suppose that's normal; they both need time to find their feet, especially since we don't know what happened to her during those seven months. It's also quite tough with us – she bites and scratches. It's not all the time, but she can suddenly lunge at us out of nowhere. I'd really like to hear from anyone who has been in a similar situation. I'm actually scared to stroke her now for fear of her biting or scratching me, but on the other hand, I don't want to push her away and I'd love for her to feel settled and calm again. Any advice would be very welcome, thank you.
