How can dogs still catch parvovirus even if they've been vaccinated?

Hello
I’ve had a simple and sensible protocol in place for everyone for 15-20 years now:
Walks are supervised. We don’t let them say hello to just anyone.
They stay on the lead. At the end of the day, you see dogs sniffing around anywhere and everywhere in environments that aren't clean.
People have started this trend of feeding them at every turn under the guise of rewards…
All these behaviours increase the risk factors.
We have private playmates who are carefully hand-picked. They follow the same training approach as I do. I find it’s much better that way. Consequently, I don’t vaccinate against this disease. It isn’t necessary given our lifestyle. It’s not what the vets want, but it is my choice.
