Slight discharge from the vulva?

Hi everyone

I've noticed that sometimes where my dog lies down, there's a thin, clear damp patch on the floor where her vulva was (she's spayed and is 11 and a half).

I can't see any actual discharge or anything else.

Could it just be moisture from the mucous membrane making the floor a bit wet because of her weight when she's lying down?

And it doesn't have any smell at all...

Thanks for your help

Hi there, What you’re describing doesn’t sound too worrying. If it remains small in quantity, clear and odourless, it could simply be natural moisture from the mucous membrane. If you notice any change in any of these factors, you’ll need to have a word with your vet. By the way, feel free to show them some photos and ask for their opinion during your next appointment. Best wishes, Quitterie
