How long does it take for a cat's fur to grow back?

Hi,

My cat Lella had to have an abdominal ultrasound after being sick a few times.

Thankfully, the scan didn't show anything serious (what a relief!!!).

To carry out the scan, the vet shaved all the fur off her tummy.

Does anyone know how long it takes for a cat's fur to grow back?

Many thanks!!

    Hi Senara!

I went through the exact same thing a year ago.

My 12-year-old Olivia was being sick, so she had to have an ultrasound.

They shaved her fur, but it grew back within a month or so.

You'll see, everything will be back to normal soon!

    Hi Senara!

First of all, it’s brilliant news that there’s nothing to worry about... much better that way!

As for her coat, you’ll need to be very patient. Keep in mind that both the topcoat and the undercoat have to grow back, so it’ll take a good couple of months!

Your little friend isn’t in any danger in the meantime, but do make sure she doesn't lie on any very hot surfaces, as she could get burnt.

Let me know how the regrowth is coming along!
