Suki: lovely during the day, but gets overexcited in the evenings

Hi everyone,

We adopted Suki about a week and a half ago. She’ll be 3 months old on 30th June.

She’s settled in really well with our 10.5-year-old dog (a Cavalier King Charles Spaniel) and our two cats.

During the day, everything is brilliant; however, the end of the day and the evenings are a bit of a struggle. Our previous two dogs (both Cavaliers too) used to have their 'zoomies' in the evening but would always calm down. Suki really struggles to settle and turns into a right little terror.

Do you have any advice or stories to share? And at what age did your pups start to grow out of this phase, if you’ve experienced something similar?

I should add that during the day she manages her play sessions quite well—they are calmer and she settles back down on her own afterwards.

Many thanks in advance!
