CBD for senior dog anxiety — any advice?

Hi everyone, my 15-year-old pit bull has been getting very anxious lately. I’m considering CBD and came across Innovetpet. Has anyone tried it or similar products? Any tips on dosage or effectiveness?

    Hi, 

    Sorry to hear your Pit Bull has been getting more anxious lately. It may be that CBD- along with consistent routine and some gentle exercise- may help. 

    CBD has been found to have positive effects on older dogs, particularly in cases of anxiety and restlessness. It interacts with the endocannabinoid system, helping to regulate stress and sleep. When it comes to choosing a product, oils and tinctures tend to work faster that treats and chews, so this may be something to consider.

    It's really important to make sure whatever you choose is pet-specific, THC free and lab-tested. 

    Your vet is the best person to advise on products, and they will have to be the one to decide on dosage- It's important they're involved in the process as CBD can interact with certain medications (especially those processed by the liver).
