It’s a wonderful thing to do: Galgos are incredibly gentle dogs and rescues are always looking for good homes to get them out of the shelters.
However, there’s an important point to clarify regarding their coat and allergies: hair length doesn’t protect you against allergies. In fact, allergic reactions aren't caused by the fur itself, but by proteins found in the dog’s saliva, urine, and dander (dead skin cells).
