Conjunctivitis

Hi everyone,

Unfortunately, my dog has caught conjunctivitis.

I went to the vet this morning, and they prescribed some "Fradexam" eye drops.

When I opened the box, I found a bottle of solvent, a bottle with a tablet inside, and a dropper.

The problem is that the instructions only tell me how many drops to give him, and I'm worried about making a mistake and doing more damage to my dog's eyes.

I assume I'm supposed to put the solvent into the bottle with the tablet, but I'd rather ask here first just to be on the safe side.

Hi there, You just need to mix the freeze-dried powder and the liquid together to reconstitute the medication. They aren't pre-mixed to ensure the medicine stays stable and lasts longer. If you're at all unsure, or just for peace of mind, you can give your vet's surgery a call directly so they can talk you through how it works again. Have a lovely day, Flavy
